The Remote bespoke Program
Wayman Bespoke strives to create an accessible and transparent but personal experience for remotely commissioning bespoke shoes by combining modern technology with the art and craftsmanship of traditional shoemaking.
With our Remote Bespoke program we aim to create a superior fit, through our specifically developed self measurement and try on process as base for your own personalized lasts. All shoes leaving our workshop are fully hand clicked, hand lasted and hand welted by our established and highly trained last, pattern and bottom makers, allowing for full customization options, yet at a quick turnaround time.
1. Take your measurements
Just like an in person bespoke commission, the process for our remote bespoke program starts with your foot measurements and tracings. Only for this program, the measurements are taken remotely by yourself (best with the help of another person), following our step by step measurement guide as well as instructions video. It might seam quite overwhelming at first but it is easier than it looks. We are always here for you and are more than happy to assist you in all of this!
From the measurements you send in, your personal last is then created to achieve a superior fit for your feet.
2. Pick your Model and Pattern
Pick one of our more than 100 different house style models and pattern variations. Begin by choosing one of our general Oxford, Derby, Boot or Loafer models. Then start modifying the pattern by choosing your preferred toe style and add or remove broguing as well as decorative toe medallions.
Alternatively you always have the option to create and design your own unique custom pattern. The possibilities are endless. Start your personal consultation to discuss your pattern/ design ideas!
3. Choose your Specifications
Our Remote Bespoke program allows you to fully customize every detail of your commission, starting with the toe shape of your personal last, the construction method, the upper leather, all the way to the finishing of the soles.
Similar to an in person bespoke commission, the waist and heel shape can be chosen freely with options like a fiddled waist and pitched Cuban heel. Sole, waist, heel and welt, can all be individually painted in your preferred color to best match your personal style. Finally you are able to add all kinds of extra options, like fitted Triumph toe taps, brass peg initials, Vibram top soles and lasted bespoke shoe trees.
4. we make your shoes
As soon as we have received your online commission payment, we will check all details and data of your commission. If we find any issues, we will immediately contact you for clarifications.
If everything looks good, our team in our Shanghai based bespoke workshop will start with your personal last and make your fitting shoes with a similar look to your final shoes and cemented rubber outsoles. After receiving your fit feedback from the trial shoes we will then, modify the last and make your final shoes, starting with hand clicking the uppers to preparing, and carving the midsoles all the way to hand lasting and handwelting and finishing the shoes to your specifications.
